Service Description

In this introductory STEM, Robotics course, participants learn basic electronics theory and basic soldering techniques. Using a soldiering iron, your child will solder electronic components to a circuit board to create a bug with photoresistor sensors (light sensors). When the bug senses no light, the LED eyes light up! You child will handle, work with, and learn about the following electronic components: PCB's (Printed Circuit Boards), LED's (Light Emitting Diodes), Resistors, Photoresistors, Transistors, Batteries, & Battery-holders. Your child will also gain experience using a soldiering iron, wire cutters, solder, solder-wick, a multi-meter, and other tools. During this class, the flow of electricity is examined via a schematic diagram and then put into practical application with the soldering experiment. Children and adults both really enjoy this practical science exercise and all participants take home their Bug-Bot to show their family and friends what they have built themselves! It is definitely brag-worthy! Sign your child up today before all the spaces fill up!
